People I actually know. I HAVE A NEW HAPPY PLACE NOW KTHXBAI.

1) I can't say I followed the Casey Anthony trial particularly closely; based on the random chunks of info I got, I can't say I disagree with the verdict - sounds like the State didn't put on the case it needed to. That being said, I've been wincing at the whooping and self-righteousness of her attorney - dude, your client was tagged with 4 counts of lying to investigators, and has just kind of smiled and shrugged without any real answer as to why her dead kid wound up dumped in the woods. Dunno, dunno. Reminds me of two cases I've worked on over the years - one where I was in her attorney's position and pulled off a tough win, but didn't stomp around beating my chest about justice and character assassination and all that; and another where I wandered into civil litigation related to a criminal case that had some similarities to the Anthony case, and which gave me a quick lesson as to the difference between "technically innocent" and "actually innocent" in our justice system. Just oogy.

2) I'm tired of having a hole in the ceiling of the dining room. Fortunately, no raccoon incursions - yet.

3) No drunk tank! Still have all my fingers! Good weekend for the 4th!

4) One of my favoritest people ever is visiting next month!! Hooray!

5) L. got a wicked burn on part of her back. She's ignoring demands that she see a doctor for it.

6) I got to see a new Shelby Mustang fuck with some lesser sports car on an empty stretch of road. Holy cow - me and muscle cars - must test drive.

7) Went down to a quasi-buzz cut again. Odd strategy - losing hair, so just cut it all off.
