"A collective destiny, made of plague and emotions shared by all."

Being a senior associate, I know have some moderate authority to assign work to the younger associates.

I had a particularly nasty batch of research projects coming up, and I singled out one of the Chippendales Associates to be the heavy-lifter on those.

Then he got sick with a disease I'd never heard of, and will be out of the office for quite some time.

So, not only am I now taking the lead on those research projects, but I had three monster cases of his fall into my lap.

Now *I* have to get sick to buck all these cases to someone else.

But I'm aiming low - just the flu, thank you.

that's a pretty scary disease! I had to learn about it during my certificationation. I'm pretty sure that the most common way to get Bullain-Barre is right after having the flu, so you might consider aiming even lower... food poisoning? severe allergic reaction to wool?

Your poor associate! I'm so gonna talk to my hypocondriac co-worker "the Baroness Von Munchausens" and see if I can't get her to think she's contracted it.

He he he
